Adamite rolls containing 1.5-2.5% Carbon and Cr-Ni-Mo have high wear resistance as a result of high carbon and alloying. Microstructure and mechanical properties are improved by applying normalization and stress relief heat treatments. It is generally preferred in roughing stands and intermediate stands in all rolling groups.
